More than 450 public attended and benefitted from the mega event. There were 18 Panelists from various professionals and from all metro cities. The whole event was live streamed on all social media which was viewed by millions of people from all over the world. The event was followed by free consultations for patients with back and neck problems.

Rotary Activities: Presently a member of Rotary club of Madras North, Chennai. A Paul Harris Fellow since 2012. Have started a project called RASTRA – Rotary Aid for Spinal Treatment and Rehabilitation for rehabilitation and vocational training of spinal cord Injured and paralyzed patients. This was the first of its kind in the whole world through Rotary to provide free rehabilitation for 34 patients at a cost of 48 lakhs under my chairmanship and this project is still ongoing. We have literally put 34 families back on their feet and aim to expand to other cities.

Project AMISH: Founder of an awareness project called AMISH – Awareness Movement for Injuries to the Spine and Head. India unfortunately is the head and spine injury capital of the world. One of the main reasons for this is lack of safety on the roads and at the work place. A large number of volunteers (200+) were involved in creating an awareness to avoid serious spine and brain injuries to the public. The goal is to reach the vulnerable people in the society like, construction workers, auto drivers, two-wheel drivers, tree climbers and others to educate them on the seriousness of these injuries and how to avoid them with qualified and trained instructors. Our motto is “Be safe, it’s worth it”.

DOCTORNET – During the severe floods of December 2015, a group of volunteers were formed under the leadership of Dr Balamurali and Mr Aravindan, who formed doctornet India. This group provided free medical care for the flood affected victims. Later the group evolved with a mobile app for connecting poor patients with doctors by mobile video conferencing. This will help the rural India connect to modern medicine.
