Primary headaches<\/strong><\/h2>\n

There are 2 kinds:-
\n
\n\u2022 Episodic headache<\/strong> \u2013 Occurs once in a while
\n– Can for several hours
\n
\n\u2022 Chronic headaches<\/strong> \u2013 Occur periodically
\n– Can last for days
\n– Pain management is essential<\/p>\n

Tension headache<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Dull, aching sensation
\n\u2022 Tenderness and sensitivity around neck, forehead, scalp
\n\u2022 Tightness in neck and shoulders
\n\u2022 Occurs due to physical or mental stress<\/p>\n

Cluster headache<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Severe burning, piercing pain
\n\u2022 Occur behind one eye, or one side of face
\n\u2022 May have swelling, redness, sweating
\n\u2022 May occur due to sinus and nasal problems<\/p>\n

Migraines<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Intense, deep pulsing pain
\n\u2022 Can last for days
\n\u2022 Limits functionality
\n\u2022 Sensitivity to visual and audio stimuli
\n\u2022 May be age or hormone or stress related<\/p>\n

Allergy or sinus headaches<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Pain in sinus and front of head
\n\u2022 Intense, pulsing pain

Hormone headaches<\/strong>

Constant headache – what can it signify?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

What causes constant or chronic headache is not clearly understood. Possible causes are inflammation or some other issues in blood-vessels in the head (brain and surrounding tissues), tumours in the brain, stroke, a serious injury to the head, meningitis which is a type of infection, and issues with intracranial pressure (either too high or too low).<\/p>\n
