Dr Pradeep Kumar is Director, Anaesthesia & Intensive Care, In the Department of Cardiovasuclar & thoracic Surgery, Heart & Lung Transplantation & Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS). He has 14+ years of experience in anesthesia, cardiothoracic anaesthesia, & critical care. After obtaining his training in cardiothoracic anesthesia & intensive care from GB Pant Hospital, Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, he has been working in various roles, with vast experience in managing Pediatric & Adult Cardiac surgery & performing Trans esophageal echocardiography. He has vast experience in managing complex pediatric congenital cardiac surgery, CABG, Arch surgery and valve surgery. He is been a core member in setting up some of the most successful heart & lung transplantation programs, LVAD Program, ECMO Program in Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi & Hyderabad. Dr. Pradeep has experience in Managing more than 350 heart & lung transplants, 30+ LVAD, BIVAD, 250+ ECMO. He has vast experience in managing pediatric & Adult Heart failure patients, end stage lung diseases patients and cardio thoracic and transplant ICU. He has been involved in preparing protocols about heart & lung transplant VAD, ECMO, marginal donor management & optimization, & immunosuppressant protocols according to our Indian experience. He has good experience in EXVIVO lung perfusion system development & management Hospital, he has experience of observership at Toronto General Hospital Canada for heart & lung transplant, VAD., Exvivo lung perfusion (EVLP) TAVI management & also observership at at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia, USA for Heart & Lung Transplant, & VAD Program
