Vanakkam to my dear KWAY readers!

Your enthusiasm has always been the key to our energy!

Greeting everyone with the word ”vanakkam” has been adopted as Kauvery’s culture, but it is of course the ancient method of welcoming someone. While saying Vannakkam our hands are folded together to greet the person which in turn helps to cease the spread of infections.

At Kauvery Hospital, treating everyone with respect is of paramount importance, especially women.

As Women’s Day approaches, I would like to remind all the women out there that being a woman is a very special gift, as we are known for our love, patience and maturity. Corona - What is the Scare About?

The world is reeling around the terrible tragedy in Wuhan city of China, thousands dead, several thousand sick and a city under quarantine for almost a month. This looks straight out of a science fiction movie but actually, it is real life.

What exactly is happening in China?

Corona virus causes a relatively benign infection in wild animals. It lives in harmony with bats without causing any problems. However, this infection is alien to domestic animals and humans, and they do not have any immunity against it. When human beings get exposed to such so called zoonotic viruses, our body tries very hard to fight it out and in the process a lot of people become sick and some eventually die.

How to Listen Safely and Protect Your Hearing

Our sense of hearing is a very important part of our lives. Without the ability to listen, communication would become very difficult indeed. New born babies learn to speak by listening to and trying to replicate the sounds around them. As we all know, sound can be both pleasant and unpleasant, but how many of us are aware that even pleasant sounds above a certain level can cause hearing damage.
