Abstract
Polytrauma management requires a multidisciplinary team approach to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Timely, prioritized, and coordinated interventions play a crucial role in reducing morbidity and mortality, expediting recovery, and restoring function. We present the case of a 33-year-old female with life-threatening thoracic, abdominal, orthopedic, and soft tissue injuries following a road traffic accident. Staged and coordinated interventions across specialties, including cardiothoracic surgery, general surgery, orthopedics, and plastic surgery, were essential for her survival and recovery.

Humidification is an essential component of respiratory support in the intensive care unit (ICU). Under normal conditions, the nose and upper airway warm, humidify and filter inspired gas. By the carina, inspired gas reaches approximately 37°C, 100% relative humidity and an absolute humidity of about 44 mg H₂O/L. Endotracheal and tracheostomy tubes bypass this conditioning system, making artificial humidification essential during invasive mechanical ventilation.
Introduction
Accessory Cavitated Uterine Mass (ACUM) is a rare benign Müllerian anomaly characterized by an accessory endometrial cavity surrounded by normal myometrium, typically located near the insertion of the round ligament. It predominantly affects young women with severe dysmenorrhea and chronic pelvic pain. Due to its rarity and nonspecific appearance on ultrasound and CT, it is frequently misdiagnosed as a leiomyoma or adenomyosis. MRI is the imaging modality of choice for accurate diagnosis.
