October is the time of outbreak in influenza and the monsoon twinning with the festive gatherings of Deepavalli.

Let’s keep in mind to get vaccinated against these viral enemies and to spread the awareness of the same.

As physicians, our role extends beyond clinics – touching lives, educating communities and this digital platform helps us to update ourselves to the current medical treatment and successful patient outcomes.

CASE OF HYPOPERFUSION COMPLEX- SHOCK BOWEL

INTRODUCTION:

Hypo perfusion complex, commonly referred to as shock bowel, is a characteristic radiological pattern observed in patients with severe systemic hypotension or shock. It represents the body’s physiological response to critically reduced tissue perfusion, leading to compensatory change in the splanchnic circulation. These changes are best demonstrated on contrast enhanced CT scans.

HYPONATREMIA TO AUTOIMMUNE ENCEPHALITIS- A CHALLENGING CASE OF CASPR-2 POSITIVE LIMBIC ENCEPHALITIS

SUMMARY:

This case report describes a diagnostically challenging case of a middle-aged male admitted with severe hyponatremia, fatigue, and incidentally found to have nephrotic-range proteinuria. Although initially suspected to be primary adrenal insufficiency or SIADH, further testing revealed CASPR2 antibody–associated autoimmune encephalitis along with nephrotic-range proteinuria, probably due to membranous nephropathy.

Post-Intubation Subglottic Stenosis: A Case Report and Review of Literature

Abstract:

Tracheal stenosis is a rare but potentially life-threatening condition that may develop following prolonged or traumatic endotracheal intubation. We present a case of a 34-year-old male who developed progressive respiratory distress due to subglottic stenosis one month after an episode of status epilepticus requiring intubation. This case highlights the importance of early recognition, appropriate post-intubation care, and timely intervention in preventing and managing airway stenosis.

Minimally invasive management of T type Acetabular fracture using Anterior column Plating and posterior column screw fixation from anterior approach under O-arm Navigation- Case Report.

Main takeaway: Accurate reduction and safe implant placement in complex acetabular fractures can be enhanced by intra-operative O-arm navigation, enabling precise screw trajectories and confirmation of reduction while limiting soft-tissue morbidity.
