Dr. Sathish Radhakrishnan.

Dr. Satish Radhakrishnan is a highly experienced Consultant in Anaesthesiology and Critical Care with extensive expertise in the perioperative management of adult and congenital heart disease patients, including neonates and infants. With more than two decades of experience in cardiac anaesthesia, he has provided anaesthesia services for over 5,000 cardiac procedures encompassing complex cardiac surgeries, TAVI and various cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures. His exceptional clinical acumen, combined with a deep commitment to patient safety, has made him a trusted name in the field of cardiac and paediatric cardiac anaesthesia.

Dr. Satish Radhakrishnan served as the Head of the Department of Anaesthesia at Frontier Lifeline Hospital, Chennai, where he leads a dedicated team delivering comprehensive perioperative and critical care services. Prior to his current role, he served as the Senior Consultant and Chief of Paediatric Cardiac Anaesthesia and Critical Care at MIOT International, Chennai, where he played a key role in initiating the paediatric cardiac surgery programme and developing institutional protocols for paediatric cardiac care. He has also been associated with the Madras Medical Mission and Apollo Hospitals, where he gained vast experience managing complex cardiac anaesthesia for both adult and paediatric patients.

Throughout his career, Dr. Satish has been actively involved in training postgraduate students and DNB residents, contributing significantly to the growth of future anaesthesiologists.

Dr. Satish completed his MBBS from Government Stanley Medical College & Hospital, Chennai, followed by MD in Anaesthesiology from B J Medical College, Pune. He holds a DNB in Anaesthesiology from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, and completed his PDCC in Cardiac Anaesthesia from the Madras Medical Mission, Chennai.

Over the years, his dedication and contributions have been widely recognised. He received a trophy from MIOT Hospitals in appreciation of “Services beyond the call of duty” on Founder’s Day in 2016. He won the Best Poster Award at the 7th Annual Conference of the Indian Association of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Anaesthesiologists in 2004 at Kochi. He was also honoured with the Fresenius Fellowship Award and the Dr. A.V. Gokhale Cash Award for the best research paper in 1999. In addition, Dr. Satish is frequently invited as a speaker and panellist at national-level cardiac anaesthesia and paediatric cardiology conferences.
