Biotin-Rich Laddu

This recipe for biotin-rich laddus uses black urad dal, flax seeds and black sesame seeds. These tasty and nutritious laddus offer the following benefits:

Ingredients
- Black urad dal – 1 cup
- Flax seeds – ½ cup
- Black sesame seeds – 1/2 cup
- Jaggery (adjust to required sweetness) – ¾th to 1 cup
- Ghee – 2-3 tbsp.
- Cardamom powder as per individual taste
Method
- In a heavy-bottom pan, dry roast black urad dal until aromatic and slightly crisp.
- Transfer to a mixer grinder.
- Next, dry roast flax seeds until they start popping. Add to the grinder.
- Then, dry-roast black sesame lightly and add to the grinder.
- Once cool, add grated jaggery and cardamom. Grind to a slightly coarse powder.
- Transfer the mix to a bowl and add warm ghee to it.
- Mix well and shape into laddus while warm.
- Let the laddus set for an hour.
- When stored in an air-tight container, these nutritious laddus stay good for up to a week.
