Kauvery Hospital Tirunelveli’s New Liver Clinic Inaugurated by Dr. C Revathi, Dean of Tirunelveli Medical College & Hospital

October 30, 2025 – Kauvery Hospital Tirunelveli, a unit of the renowned Kauvery Group of Hospitals, today announced the successful launch of its dedicated Liver Clinic. The new facility aims to provide comprehensive, state-of-the-art care for patients with liver, pancreas, and biliary diseases, including liver transplantation services.

The Liver Clinic was formally inaugurated in a ceremony attended by distinguished guests from the medical community. Dr C Revathi, Dean of Tirunelveli Medical College & Hospital. In her address, Dr. Revathi highlighted the growing need for focused hepatology services and praised the region’s broader healthcare advancements. ‘High-end medical care, including vital procedures like liver transplants, is now becoming increasingly available in tier 3 cities like ours,’ said Dr. Revathi.”

The event was also honored by the presence of Dr. Prabhakaran Appathurai, Head of the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology at Tirunelveli Medical College & Hospital, who attended as a special guest.

From the Kauvery Hospital team, the launch was led by Dr. Swaminathan Sambandam, a Senior Consultant and Lead in Multiorgan Transplants, and Dr. Lakshmanan, Medical Administrator of Kauvery Hospital Tirunelveli.
