Dr K Malcolm Jeyaraj is a senior neurologist and epileptologist with more than two decades of committed clinical practice, academic leadership and extensive experience in managing complex neurological disorders. He serves as faculty at Stanley Medical College, Chennai, one of the state’s most respected teaching institutions, where he has been actively involved in training DM Neurology postgraduates and shaping the next generation of specialists.

His foundation in medicine spans MBBS from Kilpauk Medical College, MD General Medicine from Tirunelveli Medical College and DM Neurology from Stanley Medical College. He further advanced his expertise with a highly competitive post-doctoral fellowship in Epileptology from the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum, a national centre of excellence. Under the mentorship of Professor Kurupath Radhakrishnan, he underwent rigorous training in advanced EEG, video-EEG monitoring techniques, pre-surgical evaluation of drug-resistant epilepsy and comprehensive management pathways required for complex epileptic syndromes.

Over the past decade, Dr K Malcolm Jeyaraj has established himself as a seasoned specialist in epilepsy surgery evaluation and long-term epilepsy management. He has contributed to multiple Medical Refractory epilepsy surgeries, participating in the complete continuum of care from pre-surgical assessment to post-operative follow-up. His strong grounding in neurophysiology also extends to nerve conduction studies, evoked potential and long-term video-telemetry, placing him among the select neurologists with deep procedural and interpretive expertise in these domains.

His clinical experience spans the breadth of neurology, including the management of acute stroke, thrombolysis, secondary stroke prevention, neurocritical care, movement disorders and spasticity management. He is trained in administering botulinum toxin injections for focal dystonias, hemifacial spasm and spasticity syndromes. He also actively contributes to the management of neurocritical care units and delivers invited lectures across epilepsy and various Neurology forums.

Dr Malcolm Jeyaraj has an impressive academic portfolio, with multiple peer-reviewed publications in high-impact neurology and epilepsy journals, including Clinical Neurophysiology, Neurology, Seizure, Epilepsy & Behavior and the Journal of Neurosurgery. His work has been recognised internationally, earning him the prestigious Young Investigator Award from the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE). He has presented research at major national and international platforms including Rome, Montreal, Barcelona, Grenoble and Lyon.

He is currently EC member of the Indian Epilepsy Society. He has successfully conducted the National Epilepsy Congress ECON 2025 as its Organizing Secretary at Chennai. The program was a massive success with estimated participation of 700+ delegates.

He maintains a sustained academic footprint with ongoing collaborations, contributions to surgical epilepsy literature and active participation in conferences and workshops. His Google Scholar metrics include 74 citations, an H-index of 5 and multiple first-author and co-author publications contributing to advancements in epilepsy care.
