Masoor dal dosa (or red lentil dosa) is a highly nutritious, protein-packed, and low-carb alternative to traditional rice-based dosas. It is particularly popular for weight management and is a quick, healthy, no-fermentation breakfast!

Ingredients
- Masoor dal (split orange lentils): 1 cup
- Yellow moong dal (split): 1/2 to 1 cup
- Ginger: 1-inch piece
- Green chillies: 2-3 (adjust to taste)
- Cumin seeds (jeera): 1 tsp
- Carrots, peeled and chopped: 2 (medium-sized)
- Salt according to individual taste
- Water as needed to grind into a smooth batter
- Oil or ghee as required
Method
- Wash both dals thoroughly and soak them together for at least 1-2 hours.
- Drain and grind the dals with ginger, chillies, cumin and carrots into a smooth, thick batter.
- The batter should be of a spreading consistency. It need not be left to ferment.
- Add salt, mix well, and make dosa.
- Protein-rich, tasty dosas are ready to serve.
