Dr. T. Keerthana

Dr. T. Keerthana is a Nephrologist with specialized training and clinical experience in the comprehensive management of kidney diseases. She completed her MBBS from Government Villupuram Medical College, MD in General Medicine from Government Stanley Medical College, Chennai, and DM in Nephrology from Government Stanley Medical College under The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University. She is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Nephrology at Government Royapettah Hospital, Chennai.

Dr. Keerthana has experience across various aspects of nephrology, including chronic kidney disease, glomerular diseases, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, renal transplantation, renal biopsy, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and critical care nephrology. Her training has also included dedicated exposure to renal pathology, transplant immunology, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT and interventional nephrology.

Her academic interests extend to glomerular diseases, renal transplantation, dialysis, acute kidney injury and pregnancy-related kidney disease. She has actively participated in national and international nephrology conferences and has presented her clinical and research work at several professional forums, including the World Congress of Nephrology.

Dr. Keerthana has received recognition for her academic and research work, including the Dr K.V. Dakshina Moorthy Gold Medal for research in Nephrology, All India level TYSA Torrent Young Scholar Award in Nephrology (Runner-up), Best Paper Presentation at the ISN Southern Chapter, Best Podium Presentation at WINCON, and Best Oral Presentation at NATPUCON. She has also been selected for national-level podium presentations and has received awards in several academic quizzes.

She has contributed to publications and research in areas including pregnancy-related acute kidney injury, innovative hemodialysis vascular access techniques and glomerular diseases in post-renal transplant patients, reflecting her interest in advancing clinical nephrology through research and evidence-based practice.
