Academic division of Kauvery has excelled gradually over the past 16 years. The pediatric academic division is led by Dr. Suresh Chelliah ably assisted by a group of specialists and super specialists. Kauvery is the only hospital in Trichy accredited by NBE to hold the DNB Pediatrics course. Currently, we take in two post-diploma candidates, two primary candidates and two diploma candidates every year. We conduct academic classes, journal clubs, case presentations, seminars, faculty lectures, guest lectures, audits and conduct clinical meetings regularly to disscuss challenges.
We also conduct research in pediatrics as part of course requirements for DNB candidates under the guidance of senior consultants. In addition, research projects are undertaken by all the staff and nurses. We encourage our DNB graduates in various academic activities. Our DNB candidates have excelled in case presentations, poster presentations, paper presentations, and quiz competitions at state, national, and international conferences. We are also accredited by NNF to hold neonatology fellowship courses and neonatology nursing fellowship courses.
