Dr Senthil Gnanasekaran
Dr. Senthil Gnanasekaran is the Clinical Lead – Abdominal Organ Transplant & HPB Surgery at Kauvery Hospital, Chennai, with more than 15 years of experience in Liver Transplantation, Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) Surgery and Surgical Gastroenterology. His areas of expertise include living-donor and deceased-donor liver transplantation, complex liver and pancreatic surgery, robotic surgery and advanced laparoscopic procedures. He has extensive experience in managing complex, high-risk and previously operated abdominal surgical cases.
He has performed 250+ robotic surgeries and 400+ advanced laparoscopic procedures, with experience spanning complex gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic and biliary surgery, in addition to vast experience in liver transplantation.
Alongside clinical practice, Dr. Senthil has significant experience in teaching, surgical training and clinical research. He has authored 40+ publications in indexed journals and has served as faculty and invited speaker at national and international programmes in liver transplantation, HPB surgery, robotic surgery and surgical gastroenterology.

Dr. Senthil has more than seven years of experience teaching and mentoring MCh Surgical Gastroenterology trainees. He has also contributed as faculty to organ-retrieval, liver-transplant, nutrition and HPB training programmes.
