Dr. Saranya P.B is a highly skilled Consultant in Critical Care and Anaesthesiology with over 15 years of diverse clinical, academic, and research experience. She has trained at some of India’s leading healthcare institutions and gained valuable clinical and research experience in the USA. Dr. Saranya has developed expertise in the comprehensive management of critically ill patients, perioperative anaesthetic care, advanced airway management, neurocritical care, and multidisciplinary intensive care.

Dr. Saranya completed her MBBS from Sree Balaji Medical College and Hospital, Bharath University, Chennai, before pursuing her MD in Anaesthesiology at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai. She further strengthened her academic credentials by earning the Diplomate of the European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (DESAIC), an internationally recognized qualification that reflects her commitment to excellence in anaesthesiology and intensive care medicine.

A defining aspect of Dr. Saranya career has been her extensive international research and clinical experience in the USA, particularly in traumatic brain injury, neurocritical care, rehabilitation medicine, and multidisciplinary patient management. She worked as a Research Assistant at the Rehabilitation Research Center, Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, San Jose, California, as part of the prestigious Northern California Traumatic Brain Injury Model Systems of Care (TBIMS) and also at the Department of Pediatrics, University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where she participated in a public health study in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Dr. Saranya has authored and co-authored numerous scientific papers presented at prestigious national and international conferences, including the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists (ISACON) and the Indian Association of Paediatric Anaesthesiologists (IAPA). Her work in traumatic brain injury and neurorehabilitation has been presented at the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) Annual Assembly in New Orleans, Louisiana, where her research on functional outcomes following traumatic brain injury received the Best Neurological Rehabilitation Research Podium Presentation. She has also presented at the Stanford Neuroscience Forum, California, the 40th Annual Brain Injury Rehabilitation Conference in Williamsburg, Virginia, and the Traumatic Brain Injury Research Forum at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System, California, highlighting her contributions to international neuroscience and rehabilitation research.

Throughout her career, Dr. Saranya has received several academic distinctions and recognitions, including completion of USMLE Steps 1, 2, and 3, ECFMG Certification, and the Dr. Leela Krishnamurti Memorial Award for Best Scientific Paper.
