Dr. Santhosh V

Dr. V. Santhosh is a distinguished cardiac anaesthesiologist and intensivist with over a decade of expertise in delivering advanced perioperative care for complex cardiac surgical patients, including both adult and paediatric populations.

He completed his undergraduate training at Thanjavur Medical College, followed by Diploma and MD in Anaesthesiology from Christian Medical College, Vellore. He further obtained his DNB in Anaesthesiology and completed his super-specialty training with a DM in Cardiac Anaesthesia in 2019 from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, a premier tertiary referral centre in India.

He further gained international experience through advanced fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia and Cardiac Critical Care at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UK)), where he gained extensive experience in managing high-risk and complex cardiothoracic cases within a multidisciplinary care environment.

His core areas of expertise include heart and lung transplantation, ECMO (VA/VV), and mechanical circulatory support including LVAD. He is EACVI/EACTAIC certified in transoesophageal echocardiography and has extensive experience in managing high-risk cardiac and thoracic surgical patients.

His clinical practice focuses on delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care with an emphasis on safety, multidisciplinary collaboration, and advanced cardiac critical care.
