Dr. Karthick Kumar V
Dr. Karthick Kumar V is a Consultant in Infectious Diseases at Kauvery Hospital, Trichy, with expertise in the management of complex and emerging infections, including tuberculosis, HIV, tropical diseases, multidrug-resistant infections, and infections in immunocompromised patients. Trained at AIIMS, New Delhi, and a Member of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (UK), he focuses on evidence-based care, antimicrobial stewardship, and comprehensive infection management.
He completed his MBBS from Government Thoothukudi Medical College, Tamil Nadu, where he was awarded the Best Outgoing Student and received gold medals in Internal Medicine and Dermatology. He subsequently obtained MRCP (UK) from the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom and completed his DM in Infectious Diseases at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.
Dr. Karthick Kumar V also completed an ESCMID observership at the University Medical Centre Ljubljana, Slovenia, gaining international exposure in antimicrobial stewardship and infection management in tertiary care settings in Europe.
He is committed to providing evidence-based, compassionate, and patient-centered care, with special interests in antimicrobial stewardship, infections in immunocompromised patients, tropical infections, and emerging infectious diseases.
