DIWALI – THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS, is celebrated by decorating our houses with colourful LED lights, lighting earthen lamps and bursting fireworks. It’s a most colourful and auspicious festival where we get to meet our friends and families, exchange gifts, and share the joy and delicious sweets.
But in recent years, the use of fireworks has come down drastically as bursting crackers can lead to extreme noise and air pollution. It is very important to be safe and enjoy our festival with utmost precaution. So, let’s celebrate the festival of lights with safety measures to avoid any injures.
We decorate our homes with colourful LED lights and sometimes we tend to forget to place the insulating tape properly which can lead to short circuit and eventually to serious fire accidents. So, to avoid this, make sure these jobs are done with the help of quality technicians.
Do not place the stove on the floor to prepare sweets. Instead, place it on the kitchen counter top to avoid any fire injuries.

For Burn Injuries – Seek Medical Attention!!!
In case of injury to the eye, wash the affected eye with running water for 10 minutes and immediately seek medical advice; do not rub the eye or apply anything externally.
For burns over the hands or other parts of the body, pour an ample amount of water to the affected area until the victim is free from the burning sensation. Never apply any substance (turmeric powder, ink, dosa batter, toothpaste, etc.) to the area.
If the victim is wearing rings or bangles, remove them immediately before the swelling sets in.
Seek medical attention at the earliest and please avoid any home remedies.
