July 1st is celebrated as National Doctors Day, though of course doctors deserve to be celebrated throughout the year too! On behalf of Kauvery Hospital, we wish all the doctors out there a very happy and healthy Doctors Day! We are especially proud of the doctors who are at the forefront of this war against COVID-19; they are sacrificing their family life and are fully committed towards saving mankind. We also salute the medical warriors who have fought this situation and have lost their lives.
Doctors have been fighting these unseen enemies right from the time of their graduation and this scenario is not new to those in the medical profession. However, what disheartens doctors is when they are not treated with the respect they deserve. Doctors treating this deadly diseases are shunned; many people prefer to stay away from them and refuse to help them or work for them. This discriminatory attitude is indeed painful and puts doctors under undue mental stress. Please remember that now is the time for all of us to be united and help one another.
