Para Table Tennis Tournament for Physically Challenged Held in Trichy
Trichy: Kauvery Hospital, in association with Hamsa Rehabilitation Center, organized a special Para Table Tennis Tournament for physically challenged persons in Trichy, drawing enthusiastic participation from the community.
More than 50 para-athletes took part in the tournament, demonstrating their sporting skills and competitive spirit. The event was formally inaugurated by Dr. D. Senguttuvan, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Kauvery Hospital and Dr.Rajesh Agarwal ,Medical Administrator Kauvery Hospital who highlighted the hospital’s commitment to promoting inclusive healthcare and adaptive sports.
The organizers said the tournament was designed not only as a competitive event but also as a social platform where para-athletes could showcase their talent, build confidence, and develop new sporting skills. It further provided an opportunity for the participants to engage with the community, creating awareness on the importance of rehabilitation, empowerment, and inclusivity through adaptive sports.
With strong encouragement from both Kauvery Hospital and Hamsa Rehabilitation Center, the event underlined the transformative role of sports in rehabilitation, helping individuals with physical challenges to overcome barriers, foster social integration, and inspire others with their resilience.
