Kauvery Hospital and Sowdeswari School Celebrate International Yoga Day with Focus on Youth Wellness

Salem, June 21:

In celebration of International Yoga Day, Kauvery Hospital in association with Sri Sowdeswari Matriculation Higher Secondary School organized a special wellness event on the theme “Healthy Habits Start Young”. The event was held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the school premises from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

The students received guided yoga training from Mr. S. Dineshraj (SKY Associate Professor, Chairman – Student Arts Council, and Member – Periyar University Business Incubation) and Mr. G. K. Balasubramani (Senior Neuro Physiotherapist and BLS APEX Trainer).

Following the yoga session, a health awareness talk focusing on children’s well-being was delivered by Dr. A . Mohammed Fazil, Consultant Pediatrician and Neonatologist.

This meaningful event served as a guiding step towards improving students’ physical and mental wellness while encouraging the development of healthy habits from an early age.
