Welcome to the June 2017 edition of Kauvery Health and Wellness Newsletter

Hope all of you had a fantastic, relaxing vacation. Whether you had gone to your home towns or new places in search of adventure, we hope you had a wonderful time. The 'Agni Natchathram' has now passed. It has been an intense summer both for Chennai in general and our hospital in particular. Among the many activities that kept us busy in May was the launch of our 'Dual Energy 128 slice CT'. This highly sophisticated equipment can perform high-quality CT coronary angiograms, peripheral angiograms and is very good for neurovascular imaging. A special medical education program on its clinical application was conducted to familiarize doctors with the many benefits it offers.

Special camps were organized to mark World Hypertension Day in order to increase awareness of the need for early diagnosis and treatment of the condition. The Nurses' Day celebrations were focused on honouring the nurses who are the pillars of our hospital. An awareness campaign was conducted for World No Tobacco Day on 31st May. There are many activities planned for next month. Among them is the addition of a new cardiac surgery team led by well-known surgeon Dr. Raghuram. This will greatly improve the service the cardiology department offers to patients.
