Dear K-Way readers,
How are you all?
Summer is at its peak. A change of place, a micro-vacation, will definitely shift something in us. Because we all love change. Change… a very strong word.
Let’s look deeper.
Over two thousand years ago, Heraclitus looked at a river and said: “You cannot step into the same river twice.” The water flows. You flow. Nothing stands still.
Two thousand years ago in Tamilakam, Thiruvalluvar wrote Kural 332: “Great wealth is like a concert crowd. It gathers slowly, but vanishes the moment the show ends.”
Same truth, two worlds. The river doesn’t wait. The crowd doesn’t stay. Change is the only constant.
Heraclitus saw it in a river. Valluvar saw it in a crowd. Both saw: nothing stays.
Change is not an exception to life. It is the very condition of life.
Look around. Time moves forward. Health rises and falls. Money shifts. Weather turns. Governments, software, relationships — all change without our permission.
Most importantly: our thought process has changed. We are not the people of 1926, nor do we think as they did. What we call the generation gap is just the visible cost of constant change.
Change is inevitable. But blaming it for what it takes is a choice.
Change brings both success and failure. Success begins when we push aside insults. The world will comment on every stumble. It will question every detour.
Living without ever falling is one form of success. But rising each time you fall, with more strength, is a greater success. The river never stops flowing. Resilience means we don’t stop either.
Language shapes posture. Stop saying, “I have overcome hardship.” That sentence lives in the past. Start saying, “I will overcome any hardship.” That sentence commands the future. When you speak this way, defeat retreats and success responds.
This isn’t denial of difficulty. Sleepless nights will come. The river will rage. But never give up.
Reminder: No night has ever refused the dawn. No task is inherently impossible. Try, and the path reveals itself.
Accept that time, health, money, and tech will change. Act on what you can: sleep, nutrition, promises kept.
Accept that insults and setbacks are inevitable. Act by pushing them aside and rising stronger each time.
Accept that certainty is an illusion. Act by cultivating flexibility, not rigid forecasts.
When we make a commitment and abandon it, two things erode: the world’s trust in us, and our trust in ourselves. Methods must remain fluid. Values should not.
We were educated for stability. We were not educated for uncertainty. Our task is not to dam the current. Our task is to learn to navigate it.
Change is the only constant. So, too, is the human capacity to rise.
Have a great month ahead.

A Warrior Beyond Her Scars

Service Excellence
Every hospital corridor carries a different story. Some stories fade away with time, while some remain in our hearts forever. One such memory began during an ordinary Monday morning round. Among the many patients in the ward, an eighteen-year-old girl quietly drew my attention. There was something about her presence that immediately made me want to know more about her journey.
Life had already placed responsibilities on her shoulders far beyond her age. Little did I know, she had to discontinue her studies to support her family. She worked in a small hotel kitchen, sacrificing her own dreams for the survival of her loved ones.
One unfortunate day, a fire accident at her workplace changed everything. Both her hands and legs suffered severe burns, leaving her in immense pain. Her body was covered in dressings, and even simple movements became difficult. Yet, despite everything, she faced each day with remarkable patience.
During every morning round, I would spend a few minutes speaking with her. Although pain often exhausted her, she continued to treat everyone with kindness and respect. She never complained about her situation or blamed her fate. Instead, she spoke with quiet courage and determination about getting better. Her calmness in the middle of suffering left a deep impact on everyone around her.
What stood out the most was her hope for the future. She believed she would recover, return to work, and continue supporting her family. Not once did she ask why such tragedy had happened to her. Rather than focusing on her scars, she focused on the life still waiting ahead of her.
As days passed, her condition gradually improved with treatment and care. The same girl who once struggled to move slowly regained her confidence and strength. After weeks of recovery, the day finally arrived for her discharge from the hospital. Her happiness that day reflected the victory of hope over suffering.
Watching her leave the ward with her family was an unforgettable moment. She walked out not as someone defeated by tragedy, but as someone transformed by courage. Her journey reminded me that true strength often exists in the quietest individuals. Some people fight their hardest battles silently, without expecting sympathy or recognition. They simply continue moving forward despite the pain they carry.
This young girl taught everyone around her an important lesson about resilience. Life may leave scars on the body, but courage has the power to heal the spirit.
“Strength does not come from what we can do easily, but from overcoming the things we once believed we could never survive.”
Nurses Day Celebration
On the occasion of Nurses Day, we celebrated the dedication and compassion of our nursing team through fun-filled games and engaging events. The celebration honored their tireless service, commitment, and invaluable contribution to patient care. The nurses also took a heartfelt pledge to continue providing the utmost care, comfort, and support to every patient. Their selfless spirit and unwavering dedication truly inspire us every day.

Praxis 2026 Inauguration
“Praxis 2026 – Putting Theory into Practice,” summer internship program for psychology students and budding psychologists. The program is designed to bridge academic learning with real-time clinical exposure through hands-on sessions, case discussions, patient interaction, and observation of clinical practices. Interns will gain valuable insights into psychological assessments, therapeutic techniques, and mental health awareness under the guidance of experienced professionals. This initiative reflects Kauvery Hospital’s commitment to nurturing competent, compassionate, and practice-ready future psychologists.

Hand Hygiene Day
On the occasion of Hand Hygiene Day, a special competition was conducted among employees to promote awareness about proper hand washing techniques and infection prevention practices. Participants demonstrated effective hand hygiene methods, and samples were tested for microbial growth to assess the quality of hand washing practices. Winners with the least microbial growth were appreciated and awarded prizes for their excellent adherence to hand hygiene protocols. Employees also shared the importance of hand hygiene by writing meaningful messages on sticky notes and placing them on the Hand Hygiene Pledge Tree, symbolizing their commitment towards patient safety and quality care

Mother’s Day Celebration
Mother’s Day was celebrated with great joy and warmth to honor the love, care, and strength of mothers. The celebration included fun-filled activities, games, and heartfelt moments that brought smiles and happiness to everyone. Many shared touching messages expressing gratitude and appreciation for mothers and motherhood. The event served as a beautiful reminder of the unconditional love and sacrifices made by mothers every day.
