Dr. Deep Chandh Raja S is a globally trained Cardiac Electrophysiologist and one of the leading specialists in advanced heart rhythm management, complex arrhythmia interventions, and device therapy. He currently serves as Senior Consultant and Clinical Lead for Cardiac Electrophysiology at Kauvery Hospital, Alwarpet, where he leads a comprehensive, state-of-the-art electrophysiology program.

He completed his MBBS from PSG Institute of Medical Sciences, Coimbatore, followed by MD in Internal Medicine from King George Medical University, Lucknow. He pursued super-specialty training with DM in Cardiology from Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI), Lucknow, and DNB in Cardiology. He further completed FNB in Interventional Cardiology from Madras Medical Mission, Chennai.

Dr. Deep Chandh Raja underwent advanced clinical training in Cardiac Electrophysiology at Canberra Hospitals and Australian National University (ANU), Australia—one of the most advanced electrophysiology centres globally. During this period, he performed more than 3500 electrophysiology procedures involving complex ablations, device therapies, and advanced mapping technologies. He later completed his PhD from the Australian National University, focusing on novel risk stratification tools in non-ischemic cardiomyopathy.

His clinical expertise spans the entire spectrum of cardiac electrophysiology including atrial fibrillation, supraventricular and ventricular tachycardia ablations, complex VT ablations including epicardial approaches, and advanced device therapies. He is a recognized proctor in India for atrial fibrillation ablation and leadless pacemaker implantation, including MICRA (VR, AV) and AVEIR (VR, DR) systems.

In addition to electrophysiology, he has strong foundations in interventional cardiology with experience in coronary angiograms, primary PCI, complex coronary interventions, intracoronary imaging (FFR, IVUS, OCT), IABP and Impella support, and peripheral vascular interventions. He is also proficient in intracardiac echocardiography (ICE), a highly specialized imaging modality in electrophysiology.

Dr. Deep Chandh Raja has held key clinical roles including Consultant and Interventional Cardiologist at Madras Medical Mission (2016–2019), followed by advanced electrophysiology training and clinical practice in Australia (2019–2022). He currently leads Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing services at Kauvery Hospitals, Alwarpet and Vadapalani, and is also associated with Chennai Heart Rhythm Trust.
