From the Director’s Desk
Welcome to the April edition of Kauvery Health and Wellness Newsletter.
Medical clown therapy has been proved in research to hasten recovery of patients by releasing natural endorphins in the body. People who watched the movie Patch Adams by late Robin Williams or our own Munnabhai and Vasoolraja MBBS would appreciate this fact. We at Kauvery Hospital are very proud to introduce this therapy, the first private hospital to do so in India in partnership with Little Theatre, the Chennai based theatre group founded by Aysha Rau.
We celebrated the International women’s day on March 8th 2016. We honoured many unsung achievers in the health and education field. Playback singer Ms. Harini graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Health vouchers at discounted rates were distributed to all women attendees.
Kidney disease affects millions of people worldwide, including many children who may be at risk at an early age. It is therefore crucial that we encourage and facilitate education, early detection and a healthy life style in children, to fight against the increase in preventable kidney diseases and to treat children with inborn and acquired disorders of the kidneys worldwide. We are proud to launch the first Kidney Centre in Chennai, which has both adult and paediatric kidney care under one roof. The centre was inaugurated by Dr.N. Sekar, Senior Consultant Vascular Surgeon of Kauvery hospital in the presence of Dr.R.Balasubramaniam Chief Nephrologist, Dr. Prahalad, Pediatric Nephrologist, Dr.Jeevagan and Dr.Anandan, Senior Consultant Urologists. A Special package has been introduced for Kidney Check up.
Kauvery Hospital has crossed another milestone by obtaining NABH Certification of Accreditation Entry Level.
I wish all the very best to all the school students to come out with flying colours in the annual exams and to have superb summer holidays.
