Dr. Venkita S. Suresh

Group Medical Director, Kauvery Hospitals, India

Our dear and kind Readers,

A North East monsoon of papers hit us, drenching us as we were getting ready to launch the November edition of the NIGHTINGALE.

25 of those thirty plus papers appear in this edition.

Some of the weighty and profound ones are being carried forward to publication in  the KAUVERIAN – like the one about a Trichy driver who went to the frosty northern Canada , to drive heavy vehicles on an icy, tortuous and torturous road, who picked up Wegener”s Granulomatosis in the Lung and also a co-infection from a fungus unheard of in India- Histoplasma Capsulatum

12 of the 25 are Debut authors!

Nightingales from EVERY unit are contributing!

Nurses, Physician Assistants and Clinical Pharmacists are writing enthusiastically.

Even two Clinical Pharmacist trainees have penned confident and convincing papers.

This is the Vision and Mission of the Kauverian Medical Journal (KMJ) and the NIGHTINGALE- to ” Find, encourage, support and inspire Kauverians to, proudly and confidently yet with great humility, share the science behind the wonderful service they render to patients and their families who come to Kauvery with hope and courage, but calm with the conviction that they are in the right place, to be under the care of the right hands and the right minds. ”

Do read, appreciate and encourage the Nightingales

Best regards

Kauvery Hospital
