Dear Colleagues

Dear Nightingales,

On the occasion of International Nurses Day, The Nightingale Journal proudly salutes the unwavering dedication, compassion, and remarkable contributions of nurses across the world. Every day, nurses stand at the heart of healthcare – healing, comforting, advocating and transforming lives through their service.

This special edition celebrates not only the spirit of nursing, but also the growing strength of nursing scholarship, leadership and innovation. Today’s nurses are more than caregivers; they are educators, researchers, change-makers, and leaders shaping the future of healthcare.

We are delighted to state that The Nightingale Journal has successfully published 560 articles and guided 168 nurses in becoming authors. These milestones reflect our commitment to promoting nursing knowledge, research, and professional growth.

This issue features an inspiring collection of papers that showcase nursing excellence, evidence-based practices and quality improvement initiatives from across all units.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our authors, reviewers, editorial members, mentors and readers for being part of this journey. This special edition is dedicated to every nurse whose compassion heals, whose commitment inspires and whose service strengthens healthcare systems and communities every day.

May this International Nurses Day encourage more nurses to learn, lead, research, innovate, and share their valuable experiences with the world.

Happy International Nurses Day – 12 May
