Co-opener of the innings is also from ECB, we have Dr. Suhas Sagar, Consultant, Emergency Medicine, presenting an eventful “Night of Mass Casualty Trauma

Madhumitha, recently inducted as a Group Level Clinical Pharmacist, studied on her own initiative electrolyte imbalances in patients at the ER and publishes her findings here, at the crucial no 3 position. Truly, an original work!

Dr. Aravindatchan, Resident in Em Med at Alwarpet who, deftly guided by his HoD, Dr. Ashok, and Consultant, Dr. Vidya, presents the ‘perfect paper”! His report on ER Management of the fracture of C2 Veterbra fracture, associated with an arterial rupture, is a “model” worth emulating.

His colleague Dr. Avinash, also from Alwarpet, mentored by Dr. Ashok, partners perfectly with him by reporting on Post Infectious Cerebellitis.

The Alwarpet team then fields Dr. Sangavi, also mentored by Dr. Ashok, who presents a dramatic injury- Bilateral Testicular Dislocation after a two wheeler accident.

Dr. Dharani Devi comes in to bat next representing Vadapalani, and describes Hypertension from Sumatriptan.

Dr. Deepan under the guidance of Dr. Santhosam from Trichy Cantonment, presents the significance of early diagnosis of Ramsay Hunt Syndrome

Women Power powers on!

Angel Roseline, Dy. Nursing Superintendent at Nellai, elegantly describes the key elements of Emergency Nursing Care.

Ramsurya, Em Med Technician, also from Nellai, co- authors with Roseline, and reviews the subject of penetrating injury of the neck and reports on the management of a patient injured in an RTA

Dr. Khan from the ER of Heart City reports an unexpectedly successful outcome in a night mare situation- a patient brought in unconscious after an Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest.

Archana Viswathan, DNB Resident in Em Med at Tennur, inspires us with her heart-warming account of her First Year in the ER.

We close with the announcement by Harini of the launch of a imaginative initiative from our aptly named Department of Initiatives – a KOACH App based Course for Nurses on managing the ” Top Ten Diagnoses at ER”.
