Dr. Venkita S. Suresh

Group Medical Director, Kauvery Hospitals, India

Dear Colleagues.

The KAUVERIAN tries its best to start each issue with large studies on Kauvery Data

1 is a lonely number!

We, a rapidly growing post graduate teaching, training and research institution, have to rapidly transit out of the culture of eternally attempting only single case reports.

We open the 08 Oct 25 issue with Thabassum, Clinical Pharmacist, who writes the first paper to be published in the KAUVERIAN on Onco Pharmacy.

Her study is on “The advent of Mono Clonal Antibodies” at Alwarpet

Her paper is the first one in KAUVERIAN to be ” Peer reviewed” before publication.

I thank Dr. Chokalingam for his instant review of this paper!

Peer reviewing is a process that is required to be in place for the KAUVERIAN to be indexed also by Scopus and PubMed, in addition to being already indexed by Google Scholar

We shall be requesting many of you to Peer Review original work submitted to KAUVERIAN. Kindly support and encourage us with quick reviews.

We have many Debut authors on this issue, thanks to the initiative taken by DrNB Residents.

Sherlin Agnes et all, from Urology Trichy, get the ball rolling with a report on ” Chyluria ” .

Sasikumar et al from Trichy continue the initiative from Urology with ” Initial management of genitourinary trauma at the triage”.

Two reports from DrNB Residents at Trichy follow.

Vincent Jayakumar et al from Medical GE write on ” Over the Scope Primary Therapy for Duodenal Ulcer bleed” and “Endoscopic Palliation of Rectosigmoid Malignant Obstruction”.

Dr. Meenakshi Paramasivam, who was at Radial Road, now writes from Nellai, on

” Duplication of Inferior Vena Cava and DVT”.

Radial Road makes more big splashes! They pop up below one after the other!

Dr. Karthikeyan et al from Radial Road present a seminal paper on ” Breaking Blood Barriers in Renal Transplantation – ABO incompatible Kidney Transplantation ” .

Dr. Subramanian et al from Radial Road bring to us ‘ A Rare case of Fibromuscular Dysplasia presenting as Headache”.

Perhaps the first paper ever to be published in the KAUVERIAN on ObGyn comes from Dr. Thendral, Radial Road, on” Vault Prolapse” .

Kavin et al, from Orthopedics, Trichy, draw our attention to ” Metadiaphyseal presentation of Giant Cell Tumor”.

Our first paper from outside Kauvery Hospital appears in this issue! This is a significant milestone in the journey of KAUVERIAN.

Dr. Pragnya, who was with us as a consultant medical oncologist, and her present colleagues, shed light on a ” Malignant Glomus Tumour”.

Dr. Harish Mallapura and his colleagues in critical care at Marathahalli vividly describe ” Beta Thalassemia, with Acute Dengue, and with complications, including liver failure.

Medical GE from Trichy comes back to bat with DrNB Residents Rajakumari and Vincent Jayakumar, writing with their mentors, on “Zieve Syndrome complicating Pancreatitis”.

RR bats again!

Dr. Anuradha, HoD Dental Sciences, Radial Road, is a debut author on this issue with” Beyond traditional dentures- Innovative solutions for comfort and aesthetics”.

We give you a tantalizing glimpse of a procedure by Dr. Joseph Theodore at Heart City – intervening dramatically on a Double Whammy- two infarctions- Myocardial and cerebral – and salvaging a life.

Dr. Sathish et all, from Radiation Oncology at Trichy, report the prowess of our True Beam LINAC in successfully treating a Recurrent SubGlottis Ca.

Two of our Group Level Clinical Pharmacists brilliantly address complex subjects- each describes their management: Samyuktha on Dermatomyositis and Kalaivani on Channelopathies.

The KAUVERIAN is delighted to launch a debut author- Dr. Ashok Praveen, Consultant in Nuclear Medicine, Trichy. We project his talk on” Nuclear Medicine- Lighting up the Invisible”.

Dr. Femela, HoD Pathology at Radial Road, also presents her unbroken series- on Histopathology, with two papers- on Cirrhosis of Liver and Adenomatous Polyp.

From the Chief Editor’s desk several diagnostic images come to you through the Journal Scan.
