We are proud to launch the “Top 10 Diagnosis in ER” course in KOACH app for our Nursing Fraternity. This course was developed based on our learnings accumulated over 25 years of handling emergency patients. This course is meticulously designed by in house experienced experts to equip our nurses with vital skills and insights for rapid diagnosis in high pressure situations. The course design ensures learners gain practical knowledge tailored to real-world scenarios.

Kauvery Hospital actively seeks to adopt best learning practices in industry. One such initiative is the KOACH app, Kauvery’s learning experience platform. We are focused on delivering cutting-edge, Gen Z-friendly mobile learning solutions that provide flexible, on-the-go education. The Burden of Emergency Department (ED)

The ED is the frontline of medical care, providing rapid diagnosis and treatment for patients in critical and urgent conditions. Globally, EDs face an overwhelming influx of patients with diverse medical concerns, ranging from trauma and cardiac events to infections and acute neurological disorders. The burden on emergency healthcare professionals is immense—balancing swift decision-making, resource management, and effective patient care within high-pressure environments.

Need for the Course

Recognizing the challenges faced by ED professionals, there is a pressing need for structured learning that enhances their ability to manage the most common and critical cases effectively. The “Top 10 Diagnoses in ER” course is designed to bridge this gap, equipping nurses with essential knowledge and strategic interventions to navigate high-stakes situations.

Learning Model

This course is one of its kind with scenario based learning approach. A case scenario is presented and the learners are to guess the diagnosis based on the presentation. After which the content regarding the particular diagnosis is presented. There are 10 such scenarios presented. This is a 1-month course consisting of 12 modules, 1.5 hours of video and 106 assessment questions. Course curriculum was reviewed and approved by Ms. Gethsial Kiruba, Manager – Clinical Governance. The course content was developed by Ms. Harini S, Nurse Educator – KOACH team. The content was reviewed by Ms. Vinodhini V, Nurse Educator – KOACH team. The editing and visual effects were done by Mr. Vignesh, Content Media Designer – KOACH team.
